Day 1: Juice Feast Introduction

Video: Brief overview of what a Juice Feast is and why I’m doing one.
 
I took this first day very easy. In the morning I slept in and then slowly approached the new daily routine. Besides the daily 4 liters/quarts of fresh juice there’s also an important hygiene routine (morning water with lemon juice, enema, dry skin brushing, hot-cool shower, tongue cleaning), as well as physical activity and relaxed winding-down at the end of the day. Especially the hygiene routine is new to me and so it too a little longer…in a few days I’m sure it will be a new habit.

For food I did some experimenting. At first a green juice based on romaine lettuce, cucumber, ginger, which wasn’t very tasty, though. Really tasty on the other hand was a juice from apple and rhubarb…I had no idea raw rhubarb could actually be quite delicious! :-)
